MACH 7 is a next-generation software solution designed for pilots operating aircraft, ultralights, and helicopters. It provides an intuitive interface for flight planning and monitoring VFR flights, aimed at streamlining the preparation process.

Minimum hardware requirements include: an iPad 2, iOS 8 or later, cellular connectivity or an external GPS device.

To obtain login credentials, users are invited to register on the official website.

MACH 7 comprises two main components: the web-based flight preparation platform and the iPad application for real-time flight monitoring.

On the ground:

• The MACH7 “preparation web” facilitates comprehensive flight planning via a computer. Features include route calculation, fuel estimation, weight and balance analysis, navigation logs, flight profile creation, weather data integration, Notam, VAC, Sup AIP access, and a database of user aircraft.

In flight:

• The iPad app “flight tracking” allows GPS-based navigation on a moving map, displaying the previously prepared route. The planned flight can be downloaded with a single tap prior to departure.

• It is provided free of charge; only the maps are payable.
• The interface is fully intuitive, lacking complex sub-menus.

• The data remains current through continuous updates via dedicated servers aligned with the AIRAC cycle.

• Offline operation—no need for an internet connection during flight.
• Display of the prepared route trajectory.
• GPS tracking on a moving map for real-time progress.
• Support for multiple integrated map sources: CartaBossy, OACI 500,000; IGN 250,000.
• Information on route details: waypoints, estimated times, distances, altitude profiles, ground speed, and elapsed time.
• A complete navigation log with real-time branch timing calculations.
• Fuel estimates along with weight and balance displays.
• Visualization of the planned flight profile.
• Extended route briefing including METAR/TAF reports, VAC data, Notam updates.
• Weather overlays such as TEMSI, WINTEM, radar imagery, and satellite views.
• Access to AZBA zones overview.
• The “nearest” function providing information on nearby airports and points of interest around the aircraft’s position.
• The “one touch” feature for quick access to zones, frequencies, airports, and reporting points.
• The “Go To” function allowing direct navigation to specific waypoints or airports.

Ongoing development plans include features such as in-flight route modification from the tablet itself and recording of the flight track for post-flight analysis.
